Organ of the Basilica of Covadonga

The great symphonic organ of the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Covadonga in Asturias (Spain), was built between 1996 and 1999. The blessing was officiated by D. Atilano Rodríguez, Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese, on April 15, 2001, the centenary year of the construction of the Basilica. The inaugural concert was conducted by the Professor of Organ of Murcia, Mr. Javier Artigas Pina.

Technical description:

  • Three 56-note manual keyboards (Do-sun). A 30-note pedalboard keyboard (Do-fa).
  • Mechanical transmission of notes. Electrical transmission of records
  • Computerized record combiner with 128 adjustable combinations.
  • 60 Records: 48 complete sets; 5 half games; 5 Couplings. 2 tremolos. 3,030 tubes
